We've got a biter
Shortly after Nash got his first tooth (a couple of weeks later I think) he got another one right beside it. This weekend he got his first top tooth and he has been biting ever since. I think it is just apart of teething and feels good to him but he bites my sholder, my chin, his clothes, toys, and has tried to bite Sadie! (pretty much anything he can). I believe he is still teething and probably has more coming. As I have been saying all along he has several wanting to come in and they are all coming back to back. So, I am bringing out the teeething rings or whatever to facilitate the biting. Future play dates beware!

The Park
Oh BY THE WAY when we came to my house, Nash and Braydi were playing with some of Nash's toy balls. I was saying "ball" to him as I was giving the ball back to him. AND as Misty is my witness he said "ball" like three times refering to his toy ball. CRAZY TOWN. I looked at Misty and said "did he really just say that?" He's so smart!!!

super tired
The last few nights have not been good. Long story short, I called the doctor because Nash was still having allergy symptoms. She said to give Claritin and Singular. So, I did. I thought during the several times he woke up last night that he sounded better (not as congested, breathing better, and not coughing) but still woke up super fussy. She also said to do the humidifier. Well, for some reason it is not working like it should. This morning was just awful. He cried and cried and threw a major fit and nothing I could to made it better. Until I just started walking around with him and he finally settled down. I am beyond tired. You know the tired when you body feels tingly? That's me. It reminds me of the early days when I started going back to work and he was still getting up often. It's my late night too. Great. I will be resorting back to the early days and will probably be taking in a lot of caffiene today to get me through the day.

rough night and day
Yesterday, I noticed when Nash woke up he was more stopped up than normal and when I gave him his cereal it was hard for him to eat because when he would take a bite with this mouth closed and he had trouble breathing out his nose. (this should have been my first clue). Then with my mom he only took one nap and started having a runny nose. (second clue). Last night was a big wake up call that something was wrong. He went to bed about 8:30 and woke up about 11:30 screaming. He has done that with teething but this was more than that. He cried something awful and couldn't be consoled. A long story short the Horton family did not get much sleep last night. We tried everything. Eventually at about 2:30 am I got him settled in his swing watching Word World where at some point he fell asleep probably a good hour later. Not for long though. At 5:45 he was up crying again. He sleep again from 6:30-8:30 this morning. During the night I was giving his medicine for his cough, congestion, runny nose and sneezing and had the humidifier out but nothing really help. So I called in due to lack of sleep and Nash needing to get to the doctor. He got in today and was given the diagnoses of Allergies which I was thinking might be the problem. Not a big surprise as his dad and I both have bad seasonal allergies. Chris's are worse than mine and he takes shots throughout the year. Mine are just in the spring time and are manageable with medication. I don't remember getting allergies until I was a teenager though. Anyways he was advised to take Claritin everyday. If that does not work, she gave me a prescription for Singular. She said his was really bad and I believe it because he has been extremely fussy and unable to sleep for long and that is not like him at all. I am hoping that this medication kicks in soon and he feels better and is able to sleep better tonight. This is by far the worst thing about being a parent is when they are sick. I feel so helpless. On another note, he weighed at the doctor today and is already a little over 22lbs (with his clothes on). I couldn't believe it because he was only 20lb 40zs last month. I guess all this crawling around and pulling up is building up some muscles. Good thing I went ahead and got the new car seat.

"bye bye"
Nash said "bye bye" to me this morning when I left for work. I know that may sound like a simple thing but to me it was AMAZING. There have been times where I have said it and thought he said "bye" back but then he would bable other stuff. Today it was a clear "bye bye" with the wave and all. Of course that made it hard for me to leave him. He said it for his Daddy and Mimi later. He has been saying "dada" for awhile but I haven't known for sure if he has gotten the association or he is just babbling but he does repeat it after you say it to him. He also says something that sounds and awful lot like "mama" but only does it when he is fussy and wants me. Then when I get him and try to get him to say it again he won't. I don't think it is just my imagination because other people have heard it and say that is what it sounds like to them. He has this toy that has a dog, duck, and frog on it. Last night I was repeating those words clearly for him and he would repeat back what sounded an awful lot like those words but not clearly those words. So, Look out! Nash may on the verge of starting his vocabulary. I can't believe it. Every day he does something that shows me how big he is getting and learning new things. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my sweet, loving, adorable, amazing little man.

Nash's first Easter
For Nash's first Easter, we had family over to the house. Grandma, Mimi and Poppy, Uncle Shane and Aunt April, and Nash's cousins Trace and Gracie. We went to church when it was just sprinkling and then when we got out it was pouring and poured most of the afternoon. So, no Easter egg hunt outside. Trace and Gracie hunted eggs inside and Nash just played with his. Nash is quite spoiled as he got three Easter baskets filled with goodies. The food was great and we had plenty for left overs. It's hard not to lose sight of the real reson for Easter.
HE HAS RISEN......HE HAS RISEN INDEED!!!!

moble nash vs. non-moble nash
I now how have a different little boy. He is still sweet, funny, and good natured but there have been some major changes since he has been moble. One, it is like he is totally independent (okay maybe not totally) but he just goes and does and really only wants his mommy when he is hungry, tired, or has hurt himself. He gets into EV-RY-THING. New favorites being dog food and the rocks in our fire place (which both of those aren't allowed). Non-moble Nash useed to sit and play in one spot with a few toys. I could leave the room or pick up after him easier. Moble Nash goes everywhere and gets into all his toys and scatters them about. I am finding myself saying "no no" quite often. The hard part is knowing whether or not he knows what I am saying. There have been times I have said "no" and he will stop whatever he was fixing to do and look at me. Other times I say "no" and it is if he did not hear me and keeps going for it non-stop. Then the even more complicated case is when I say "no "and he laughs and continues anyways. I don't say it in a funny way or laugh when I say it but he still thinks it's funny. It is actually funny after his bath when I sit him down on the floor naked in a towel and he crawls off quickly. He knows he is not supposed to do that and I think he thinks it is funny that he is running around the room naked so he laughs while he is crawling off and when I get him. I laugh at those times too because it is funny seeing his naked self crawl as fast as he can thinking he won't have to be diaperd or get dressed. Boy, he does not like being diapered, lotion, or getting dressed. The harder part is when he throws out his back and kicks his legs and fusses "throwing a mini fit" when I get him from something he does not want to go away from just quite yet or something he should not be into. There have been times I have been tempted to spat his hand but I feel bad about it so I just kind of pat it and say "no no". Still do not know if he gets it but I'm sure he will soon with how often I have to say "no no". Oh, I dread when he starts walking...
