What to say about this Christmas??? Well, it was a busy one like always. Thurdsay, I had my dad's side of the family over at my house for supper. Christmas Eve morning we went to my mom's. That afternoon and night we went to both Chris's grandparents. That night we exchanged gifts. Chris and I didn't get each other much because we got our matress a few months ago that was supposed to be our Christmas present. However we both liked what we got each other. Christmas we saw what Santa brought Nash. Then we went to Mimi's and Poppy's and that night went to my grandmother's.
Christmas Eve night was the most interesting and fun for us. This was the first year that Nash really got into Christmas. He has been wanting a "big ol Thomas" (train table). Chris had put it completely together upstairs and as he and I were playing Santa we realized we had to take it apart to get it downstairs to just put it back together. It was funny as we were trying to be quiet and dropping pieces and laughing quietly to ourselves. We did make a smart move and had Nash sleep in our bed so that we could kind of contain him as most nights here lately due to his snotty nose he has been ending up in our bed anyways. So we just set up the table in his room since we knew if we didn't we would have to take it apart once again to just put it back together. So it all worked out and Nash woke up in the morning. I woke Chris up and took Nash to potty and I said "you want to go see what Santa left you?" and he said "oh yeah" like he had forgotten. It was funny. He was so excited this year and really got into opening his presents and loved the different things he got.
Another funny story this Christmas is about one of his Santa gifts. Nash has been to Toys R Us several times and saw the Fisher Price Big Foot Monster. He has been so scared of it because at the store he is in the cage and bangs on the cage. However, he has still been very interested in it. At home he saw it on the an advertisement and started watching videos of it on the computer. So one night Chris asks (thinking that Nash was still afraid of it) "do you want me to go to the store and get a Big Foot for you to have at our house?" and Nash says "YES!!!" I thought "oh great" and hoped he would forget about it. Well the next morning the first thing out of his mouth was "daddy's going to the store and getting me a big foot monster for my house". Yep. So he got another gift from Santa and LOVES it!
(By the way I am horrible at the whole Santa thing and think Nash will probably find out at an early age the truth about Santa (which is fine with me) because numerous times I made unintentional comments that totally would have given it away if he were paying attention or old enough to understand.)
Here are some pictures from our Christmas.
Christmas morning playing with his train table
Seeing that "santa brought me a big foot to my house"
new adorable Thomas the Train rain boots
our family picture at Chris's parents
probably the funniest and grossest picture taken this Christmas
