Puppies!!!

So, after our egg hunt earlier we stopped by my dad's house to see the new liter of puppies they had. I was trying to keep Nash awake in the car and telling him what were doing by saying "we are going to go see some puppies". So when we got there he said "Puppies!!". He thought they were cute and would pet on them and no we aren't getting one. I'm not ready for that yet either but they were fun to look at, hold, and pet.

Nash's first real Easter egg hunt

Nash had his first real Easter egg hunt today. Last Easter he was too little and plus it was pouring outside. We were invited to my best friend's family's (my second family) Easter egg hunt. We had a great time. Nash got to play with Braydi, Lilly, and Cash. He got his own Easter bucket full of goodies. They have a big yard and had TONS of eggs everywhere for the kids to hunt. Nash and I had a blast.

This boy was serious about gathering eggs. Count them 1,2,3, and 4 eggs all at once with his chin to carry the pink one! He cracked me up with that.

He even carried them in his hood.

Look at all those eggs! The boy racked up. He even got the prize $5 egg!

Out with the OLD and in with the NEW

This is Chris's truck (the beast as Chris calls it). Now it is Chris's old truck as today he got a new truck. So, this truck is officially for sale. (anyone interested???) It is a 2001 Z71 with 4 wheel drive, a lift, big tires, kc lights, and a roll bar. (I am probably leaving some things out). I know that we need to sale it but I am sad to see it go. I told Chris today that it is kind of sentimental to me. Chris had this truck when we started dating. You know back when he drove me everywhere. I have always loved his truck and thought it was so fitting for him. So, Chris got an idea in his head (I am not saying from where) that it was time for him to think about getting a new truck. First he thought he didn't need a new truck and he would just keep his but then he really got to thinking about how much he liked the FJ Cruiser so he began looking online and this is what he found.
It's a 2009 FJ Cruiser that some older wealthy man bought and that had all these things done to it through the dealership and then decided he was done playing with his toy and sold it back to the dealership. Chris found it online and fell in love with it. Obviously, he liked the lift and the big tires. He got a good deal on it and talked the dealer down so he decided to get it. I am still trying to swallow the idea of having a car payment because we have not had one in several years. I got to drive it tonight and I really like it too. It seems taller than the beast but it drives real smooth and is nice. It even has a back up camera which Chris did not know until today. That's a really nice feature for such a big truck. The only thing I don't like is it actually is harder to get into than his old truck which I didn't think that was possible but hey it's not my truck. Other than that I think it's pretty awesome too.
Chris has been so excited like a little kid. Nash also loves trucks but he is still confused that this is daddy's truck. He kept pointing to the other truck saying "daddy's truck" but he did enjoy riding in it as well.

So the tire is as tall as Nash. Yeah it's pretty big. I told Chris we need to get Nash a slide for him to just get out of his car seat and slide down out of the truck.

It was a beautiful day to go to Wye Mountain. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the day.

Birth Control Saga Continued....

So, I called my doctor this week to tell her about how my headaches have continued and gotten worse so I stopped the pack and wondered what my other options were. I got a return call from the nurse today that said basically you got two options. One, the Nuva Ring and two the mini-pill. Both of these aren't very good options to me.
The Nuva Ring you insert and leave in for three weeks. It's sound okay in that you don't have to take a pill every day. The inserting and leaving in part I don't really care for. Plus it is a really new product and I am just iffy about it.
The mini pill they say is 95% effective. Don't know what that exactly means other than it is 4.9% less effective than the regular pill. I really don't want to be taken my birth control daily and because I didn't take it at the exact same time every night I accidently get pregnant.
So, I really don't know what route to take. The nurse offered me a couple of samples of the nuva ring so I plan on picking them up and maybe trying it for a month and just see. Then if I hate it I guess I could try the other. Just kind of stinks to have 2 options that aren't very good options in my opinion.
I don't feel ready for baby number two yet so I am going to check into the birth control options but part of me is ready for when I do have baby number two, if I have to have a C-section anyway which I don't know for sure will be the case, to just get the tubes tied and be done with birth control because I really don't see myself wanting more than two kiddos. That sounds nice being done with birth control. Until then, the saga continues...

Playing Outside

Nash likes to make his cars and trucks go down the slide.

Going down the slide. He used to be afraid of it and today he kept going down it.

He shoots...

Fun Day at the Zoo

It was beautiful day today so we decided to take the boys (Nash and Nate) to the zoo. We all had a great time. The boys did great and enjoyed themselves and Kat and I had fun making fun of some of the signs and random things going on at the Little Rock Zoo. Hopefully, there will be a very humorous blog post to follow about some of it.

My most embarrassing and memorable moment was when we were eating at the picnic table and there were some moms and kids eating the other picnic table and Nash insisted on having some of their "nacks". He kept going over to their table pointing and saying "nack". The kid had raisins and Nash had his normal fruit snacks that normally he wants but wanted that kid's raisin at that moment. Thankfully the mom offered him some and Nash was happy.

Nash loved the "ducks". He quaked right back at them and made the same noises they were making. It was pretty funny.

These boys are quite a pair. They did really good today, walking some and riding some.

Nate and Kat about to ride the train.

Nash and I getting ready ride the train

Nash loved the train ride and wanted to go again. The actually had a little melt down because it was time to go and he wanted to ride again. He was also exhausted from all the fun that was had.
